How do you make it where a thermostat control cannot be changed?

My room mate incessantly turns the air conditioning off. My room is always 5-7 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. I always wake up in a sweat. I would like to learn how to adjust the thermostat so that he cannot keep turning it off.

I have a Lux non-programmable thermostat.

Thanks in advance for your help. How do you make it where a thermostat control cannot be changed?
go to home depot and buy the lock box that goes arounds the thermostat it has a key entryHow do you make it where a thermostat control cannot be changed?
There are programmable thermostats that allow the use of a pass code in order to change the settings. They're not cheap, though. Then, there are thermostat lock boxes, but your roommate may not like that, especially if he/she shares the electric bill. How do you make it where a thermostat control cannot be changed?
Get the lock box as suggested. But obviously your roommate is uncomfortable so you should talk to him and see what the problem is and if it can be resolved. If he doesn't like the cold in his room you can close off the vents in the room, or as I did, by covering them with a piece of thin foam rubber (get in craft store). Sometimes the vents when closed make rushing air sounds and that can be annoying, so I cut pieces of foam to slip inside the vent to block the air from coming through. How do you make it where a thermostat control cannot be changed?
They make clear plastic boxes, with key locks on them, to cover thermostats in commercial buildings. You could ask a full service hardware store to order you one.How do you make it where a thermostat control cannot be changed?
The way I solved this at work ( the ladies always turned the temp. up ) was to remove the set screw on the lever of the thermostat. That way they could put it on 80 and be happy. They did not notice that the temp. did not change.
